I found a FABULOUS new magazine, and since I'm never the first to discover anything cool, I'm rather proud that I found it by the second issue. It's Boho Magazine, a green fashion magazine, and I adore it. It's printed on recycled paper, so it has a very cool matte finish. It's full of delicious things that are so gorgeous you would never believe the could be green. They rate the clothes and other goodies with a green leaf rating system so you can tell if it's just the featured item that is eco-friendly or if the company engages in sustainable practices all around. They have all kinds of things in the current issue for gift-giving so if you haven't finished your holiday shopping you'll get some lovely ideas. (A subscription to the magazine itself is also a great gift. HINT to my family...) And the best part? Not ONE of those annoying little cardboard inserts that fall out in the bathtub when you're trying to read while you soak. I found my copy at Barnes and Noble, highlighted on their New and Notable rack.
In fun Facebook news, I found a classmate from high school! I literally have not seen her since the day we graduated in our vile Texas orange gowns--yes, I'm a Longhorn fan, but not when it's a polyester robe and mortarboard and you aren't even graduating from UT because it's just high school. Anyway, I'm amazed at the folks I'm running across over there. Now if I could only figure out all the applications...they aren't actually difficult, but I'm wary of spending too long because I'm afraid I'll get sucked into some alternate universe where only Facebook is real and none of my actual work gets done. You know it can happen.
