I save up the good stuff and send updates only once a month or so, but I always put the juicy info in an update before it goes on the blog. And I LOVE hearing from readers! I just received a wonderful note from a student at an Argentinian college for translators. Apparently I am required reading! She needed to write a biography of me, and very cleverly went to the horse's mouth for the information. She also forwarded the written assignment about SILENT IN THE GRAVE, and I was gobsmacked. The students at the INSTITUTO SUPERIOR DEL TRADUCTORADO will know this book better than I do!

In which I am packing my daughter's things

All of the tweaks I needed to put in place for the website have been done, and not by me. It turns out that if you phone up tech support, there are these very nice, utterly genius people who don't tell you how to fix things, they actually LOG IN AND DO IT FOR YOU. I'm not sure, but I may have promised Jeff from Bluehost my firstborn child. I'll miss her. But for Luddites like me who can barely program numbers into our cell phones, Bluehost and Typepad have been revelations and I think we should form cults around them and give them all our worldly goods.

The old site, deannaraybourn.com, now points you directly HERE, where all the good and current information lives. If you want to know about appearances, they will be updated as soon as I know about them. If you want readers' guide questions, they will be posted for each book as soon as the books are released. And if you want to be added to my update list, just drop me an e-mail, and I will be happy to add you. Tidy, organized, and completely under my control, just like the rest of the world should be. (No, not really. World domination would take too much time that I could be spending watching TCM. I just watched "The Women" for the first time. Utterly chilling. I was inspired to paint my nails "Jungle Red." And is it just me, or was Rosalind Russell in EVERYTHING?)
